November Food Drive

November 09, 2020

In partnership with the local Second Harvest Food Pantry, the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at Ball State is hosting a food drive on campus from November 9th to November 20th. Food insecurity is a perennial problem, but rising utility costs as the weather cools can place additional financial burdens on people who already experience food insecurity. Please help us ease that burden by donating to our drive. To contribute, simply put your donations in one of our collection bins at any of the following locations:

- Arts and Communications Building: Arts Department

- Bracken Library

- Burkhardt Building: Department of History

- CAP: Department of Architecture

- Center for Peace and Conflict Studies: 310 N. McKinley Avenue

- Fine Arts Building: Department of Environment, Geology, and Natural Resources

- Health Professions Building: Department of Counseling Psychology

- Honors College

- Lucina Hall: Counseling Center

- North Quad: Department of Sociology

- Student Recreation & Wellness Center: Department of Kinesiology

- Teachers College: Department of Educational Psychology

The items for which there is greatest need include: Peanut butter, jams/jellies, cereal, oatmeal, beans, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, and applesauce/canned fruit. Any nonperishable food item is welcome, though, and we are also accepting donations of toiletries.
