Presented by the Rinker Center for Global Affairs, the Global Impact Staff Award annually recognizes professional, hourly, and service staff whose work advances the university’s global mission through exceptional contributions to international student success, global engagement, partnerships, study abroad program development, and/or operational excellence.
Eligibility
Full-time professional staff, hourly staff, or service staff.
Selection Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following domains:
- Global Service, Leadership & Operational Impact: Builds or strengthens global partnerships and programs.
Improves global operational processes, systems, or student experience. - Global Engagement & Outreach: Leads or supports campus initiatives that cultivate global learning and belonging.
Creates or sustains programs that engage international students or promote intercultural competence. - Advancement of Global Initiatives & Student Success: Demonstrates outstanding service, advising, programming, or resource development that supports global learners. Contributes to measurable improvements (e.g., retention, satisfaction, visibility, engagement).

Once the nomination deadline closes, the Rinker Center staff and the GLOBE Committee members will review candidates and invite up to 3-5 finalists to provide additional materials for consideration, including resume or CV, a one to three page narrative mapping contributions against award criteria, and one to three letters of support (from colleagues, students, supervisors, or international partners). Both the nominator and the nominee will be notified if the committee requests a full application for review. Only the nominator will be notified if the nominee will not be considered further for the award.
Awards include a trophy with certificate and a cash prize.
Deadline for nominations is Friday, January 30th, 2026.
