Presented by the Rinker Center for Global Affairs, the Global Impact Faculty Award aims to annually recognize faculty whose work advances the university’s mission through globally-focused research, teaching, and/or service.  

Eligibility  

Full-time tenured, tenure-track, non-tenure, contract, or equivalent faculty at the university. 

Selection Criteria 

Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following domains: 

1. Global Research and Scholarship: Evidence of international collaborations, high-impact global research outcomes. 
Exhibited visibility through peer-reviewed international publications, conference presentations, or policy impact.

2. Globally-Focused Teaching: Teaching with global themes, innovative course design incorporating international perspectives (e.g., COIL). Mentorship of international students or facilitation of global experiential learning (e.g., study abroad). 

3. Global Service and Outreach: Building effective international partnerships/programs. 
Leading cross-border initiatives, outreach to global communities, or promoting internationalization on campus.

Once the nomination deadline closes, the Rinker Center staff and the GLOBE Committee members will review candidates and invite up to 3-5 finalists to provide additional materials for consideration, including CV, a two to three page narrative mapping contributions against award criteria (research, teaching, and/or service), and two to three letters of support (may include international partners or students). Both the nominator and the nominee will be notified if the committee requests a full application for review. Only the nominator will be notified if the nominee will not be considered further for the award.

Awards include a trophy with certificate and a cash prize.

Deadline for nominations is Friday, January 30th, 2026.
