COH 100: Introduction to Health Consumerism

COH 100: Introduction to Health Consumerism will serve as a course to support students in becoming informed health care consumers and self-advocates. Students will also learn about humanitarian aspects of health including health care history, the health care system, social determinants of health, culture as it relates to health care practice, and interprofessional collaboration. This course will feature a number of guest speakers, current practitioners in health fields to showcase interprofessional viewpoints of today’s healthcare climate.
