June 07, 2024

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Stipends program supports individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Eligible projects typically result in articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly resources. Summer Stipends support continuous full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two months.

An outright award of $8,000 is provided for two consecutive months of full-time research and writing. In accordance with NEH guidelines, Ball State may nominate two faculty proposals to submit to NEH.
