Every year, the Midwest Association for Student Employment Administrators (MASEA) and the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) designate the second full week of April (April 13th – 17th, 2026) as National Student Employment Week. This initiative serves to raise awareness and celebrate the hardworking students who balance their academic responsibilities with part-time employment. These students provide essential support to their departments and the university, demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm, dedication, and initiative. National Student Employment Week is also an opportunity to acknowledge the supervisors who play a crucial role in shaping the student employment experience, offering guidance, training, and professional development that help students prepare for successful careers.
For National Student Employment Week, we are recognizing outstanding student employees and supervisors! We deeply value the contributions of our student employees and their supervisors, and it is important to us that their efforts are properly recognized! We are asking YOU to nominate someone you think deserves these esteemed awards! So, please take a short break from your day to recognize a hardworking and deserving undergraduate student employee, graduate student employee, and/ or student employment supervisor.
You can view the nomination criteria here. Then, once nominations open you can submit your nomination materials through the NSEW Nomination Link that will activate on January 5th. Nominations close on Friday, January 30th at 11:59 PM.
