Museum Accepting Applications for Spring 2027 Interns

October 01, 2026
Applications for a Spring 2027 internship at the David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) will be accepted today through October 31, 2026.

A museum internship is a semester-long, project-based, structured learning experience. It should be relevant to both the intern’s stated academic and professional goals as well as the museum’s needs. David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) internships are paid and provide hands-on, practical experience for Ball State University students (from any major or department) who are interested in exploring the museum field and in some cases may fulfill program requirements for course credit if coordinated and pre-approved by student's academic advisor.

Spring 2027 musuem internships will focus on DOMA's educational programming and initiatives. An interest in community engagement and museum facilitated experiences is a must. To participate in the Gallery Guide training program as an essential part of this internship, availability from 3:30–5pm on Wednesdays is highly preferred.

Students interested in an internship at DOMA must apply through Workday; see instructions for uploading required documents including a resume, class schedule and weekly availability, and a letter answering a few specific prompts. Contact Audrey Jacobs, DOMA’s Curator of Education, with questions. This opportunity is open to Ball State students who will be fully enrolled during the Spring semester. Learn more about student employment eligibility requirements here.
