Multicultural Center and Reel Inclusion: Warrior Lawyers

‘Warrior Lawyers ‘(2021) is a one-hour documentary that addresses our country’s current state with racial inequality and institutional racism. It focuses on stories of Native American Lawyers, Tribal Judges, and their colleagues who work with Native Nations and their citizens to achieve Scared Justice. They strive daily to resolve unique complicated historical, governmental, legal, judicial, and social welfare issues, which are most often rooted in discrimination, historical trauma, and cultural destruction.

Rinker Center for Global Affairs: Culture Exchange - Ghana

Culture Exchange is co-sponsored with the Rinker Center and the Multicultural Center to provide a sense of multiculturalism in other countries. There will be a presentation and informational session about the country of Kuwait. The first 30 students to attend will receive a free meal card.

Multicultural Center Book Club: All Boys Aren’t Blue

‘All Boys Aren’t Blue’ is a memoir-manifesto written by George M. Johnson. The book cultivates and explores what it’s like for Johnson expressing his queer and African American identity in society and the issues that had arrived in his life both the good and bad. We will watch a quick interview on why Johnson chose the name of his book and discuss the themes of the book.

Women and Gender Studies (WGS) Program: Transgender Awareness Week Open Mic

This event is for anyone who wants to engage in conversation bring awareness to the experiences of people in the transgender community. This Open Mic Night is for people to understand the experiences of those who do not identify with their biological sex.

Perspectives Discussion: Underrepresentation in Education - Beyond the Classroom
