Grandparents, great-aunts, and family friends often take their stories with them when they are gone. Memoir writing isn’t about ancient history; it’s about capturing real memories while you still can. Young adulthood is often the last time multiple generations are around to ask questions, listen, and write things down.

Instead of thinking, “Someday I’ll write this,” you will receive support to start now, while the stories are still accessible. You’ll write those moments from your life, in whatever form works for you, including prose, poetry, or dialogue.

Over three sessions, you’ll write, share if you want, and connect with others doing the same work. It’s designed for beginning and intermediate writers and can be taken more than once with new prompts each time.
