Looking into grant opportunities? Check out Hanover's resources!

May 15, 2025

Sponsored Projects Administration has partnered with Hanover Research for the 2025 calendar year. This collaboration will focus on enhancing our grant-seeking capabilities, finding and evaluating opportunities, and providing support throughout the pre-proposal and proposal stages, including proposal development.

Hanover Research offers grant consulting services to all faculty members, assisting with individual grants, training grants, and funding proposals. The Office of Sponsored Programs (SPA) provides tools to help faculty secure funding aligned with the university's strategic goals. With over 150 years of combined experience, the Hanover Research team has successfully secured over $500 million from federal and foundation sources.

The Hanover partnership offers many resources to Ball State employees.

  1. The Grants Learning Center (access available upon request) offers on-demand grantsmanship training designed specifically for higher education professionals. Online training, resources, and tools can be accessed at anytime from anywhere.
  2. Grants Alerts are weekly newsletters, broken up into research and programmatic grant opportunities in the Higher Education and Health sectors, that offers information about the previous week’s grant solicitations of interest from federal agencies and select private foundations.
  3. Grants Calendars are bimonthly newsletters that map out grant opportunities of interest to different types of institutions and to faculty in different focus areas (education, health, STEM, early career research and more.
  4. Grants Webinars are conducted monthly, through live sessions on various topics of interest to the higher education and grantseeking community, designed to strengthen grants skills and deepen knowledge of funding mechanisms. All webinars are recorded and available on-demand.

More information on how to get the most out of Ball State’s Hanover Partnership can be found on the Sponsored Projects website here (under Outreach and Education). Questions may be directed to Stephanie Roof, Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives.
