Ball State requires that all people on campus—including faculty, staff, students, and visitors—wear face masks inside buildings, including classrooms, with limited exceptions. In outdoor settings, we require face masks if physically distancing is difficult. For detailed information about face mask requirements,
visit our new webpage.
We have received many questions on how to acquire a face mask. Students living in the residence halls and University Apartments will receive two face masks when they move in. Face mask distribution for all other students will be as follows:
Drive Through Distribution
North College Avenue loop on the south side of the L.A. Pittenger Student Center
August 20, 21, and 24
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Walk-Up Distribution
Hosted by the Student Government Association
North Shuttle Stop
August 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28
7 a.m. to noon
(Six-foot physical distancing and other safety measures will be enforced.)
Face masks will be distributed while supplies last. Students must present their student IDs to pick up two free masks.
Students who miss these scheduled pick-up times may acquire a face mask from the Information Desk at the L.A. Pittenger Student Center beginning August 20. The Information Desk, located on the first floor, is open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
