Applicant must be a student, faculty or staff member of Ball State University or Muncie community
member. All Applicants will be subjected to a background check and submission of this application
gives implied consent to this background check. Participants are expected to make a commitment to
attend all class sessions, which will be held primarily on Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
for ten weeks (see highlights on schedule for exceptions). Classes will begin on Sunday January 21,
2024 and end on Sunday April 21, 2024. Classes will be held at various sites in Muncie Indiana. All
applications must be received at Ball State Police Department by Wednesday December 13, 2023 at
noon. Applicants will be notified through email of acceptance to attend. Lt. David Bell will contact you
by telephone to obtain your social security number for the background check. If you request any special
accommodations, please notify Lt. David Bell at (765) 285-3740 or drbell@bsu.edu, so we may make
appropriate arrangements.

All applications must be received at Ball State Police Department by Wednesday December 13, 2023 at
noon.
