After 38 years of dedicated service to Ball State University, Suzie Jones will retire from the Office of Community Engagement at the end of May.
Since beginning her career in 1988 in the School of Nursing Graduate Program, Suzie has been a constant and inspiring presence across campus, later contributing her talents to the School of Extended Education and its many evolutions over the years.
Suzie has truly been an OCE “superwoman," known for tackling a variety of projects, expertly managing budgets, and co-leading the Academy for Community Leadership. Her deep connections across campus and throughout the Muncie community have made her an invaluable partner, colleague, and friend to so many.
A proud Ball State alumna, Suzie earned her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies in 1993 and her Master’s degree in Adult and Community Education in 2008, further strengthening her lifelong commitment to learning and community impact.
Suzie’s contributions will leave a lasting legacy, and she will be greatly missed in our office.
Please join us in celebrating Suzie and wishing her well in retirement at a reception from 2:00–4:00 p.m. on May 29 at the E.B. and Bertha C. Ball Center.
All are welcome to stop by, share memories, and thank Suzie for her incredible years of service.
