Join the Faculty Learning Community to Learn about High Impact Practices

August 06, 2021

The Office of the Vice Provost, as part of the Faculty Excellence Center, is happy to host a High Impact Practice (HIPs) Faculty Learning Community (FLC) in Fall 2021. The FLC will focus on faculty who currently are or wish to teach classes designated as Undergraduate Research or Study Abroad in Banner.

The FLC is one of many steps toward ensuring all BSU students will have access to one of the four HIPs listed in our strategic plan. Members of the FLC will meet (most likely face-to-face) every other week throughout the fall semester and will receive $750 after all work is completed

The FLC will:

Discuss best practices and key literature regarding HIPs
Assist faculty in designing, designating, and assessing their classes in a way that aligns with the BSU strategic plan
Create community among expert teachers

The application can be found here and is due by August 16, 2021. Please note that all faculty members must consult with their department chairs to be considered for this opportunity.

All questions may be directed to Kristen McCauliff
