Jewish Studies Public Lecture - "To Rejoin the Ocean: Exploring Jewish Water Rituals through Art"

Join Rachel Leah Cohn (BSU School of Art) for the Jewish Studies Public Lecture – "To Rejoin the Ocean: Exploring Jewish Water Rituals through Art" 7 pm on Tuesday, May 5 in Bracken Library Room 104. The lecture is made possible through the generous support of the Benjamin and Bessie Zeigler Jewish Studies Program at Ball State University.

Rachel Leah Cohn exhibits her work nationally and internationally, including The Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis (CAMi) (IN), Form + Content Gallery (MN), New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art (IN), ACRE Gallery (IL), P-ART-Y Festival (NO), Terrain Biennial (IL), Massey University (NZ), Qatar Museums (QA), the Istanbul Design Biennial (TR) and Aterlierhaus Salzamt (AT). She has attended many artist residency programs, including Arteles Creative Center (FI), Vermont Studio Center (VT), ACRE Projects (WI), Signal Culture (NY), and the Fire Station (QA). She holds a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design, an MFA in Painting from Virginia Commonwealth University and teaches at the School of Art at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

The Benjamin and Bessie Zeigler Jewish Studies Program at Ball State University, provides the university and community with an understanding and an appreciation for Jewish history, Jewish culture, and the Jewish faith.
