Step back in time and be part of a beloved holiday tradition! Indiana Public Radio is holding open auditions for its annual live radio drama, It’s a Wonderful Life, to be performed on Dec. 11 at Sursa Performance Hall and broadcast live on the air.
Auditions are open to everyone, and no appointment is needed! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or brand new to acting, this is your chance to be part of an authentic radio drama experience.
Audition Dates:
Tuesday, Nov 4 & Wednesday, Nov 5
6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
IPR/Ball State Public Media Offices, LB, Room 128
Walk-ins only; no experience necessary.
It's a Wonderful Life is directed by Matthew Reeder, with musical direction by Jim Rhinehart and live sound effects by Leo Blackmer.
IPR’s radio dramas captivate audiences through the power of imagination—using only voices, music, and sound effects to create vivid worlds in the listener’s mind. Without visuals, every creak of a door, swell of music, or whisper of dialogue invites listeners to picture the story themselves, making the experience nostalgic, creative, and deeply personal.
Performance Details:
Show Date: Thursday, Dec. 11, 8 p.m.
Sursa Performance Hall & airing on IPR
