The Cardinals Vote! initiative at Ball State is a collaborative effort between the Center for Economic and Civic Learning, the Office of Student Life, and the Office of Community Engagement. This initiative aims to promote non-partisan voter engagement and civic participation among students. Through various activities, events, and educational initiatives, Cardinals Vote encourages students to register to vote, become informed about political issues, and actively participate in elections. By partnering with these key university departments, Cardinals Vote seeks to create a culture of civic engagement on campus and empower students to exercise their democratic rights.

Cardinals Vote! is grateful for support from Community-Engaged Alliance who partners with Indiana higher education institutions to strengthen the relationship with their local communities and produce civic-minded graduates. We are the only organization in Indiana that works with all institutional levels (public, both large and small, independent, and two-year) as well as community organizations. By supporting our partners through programs, training, grants, consulting, and professional development, we foster a higher education and community collaboration that propels students toward graduation ready to make a difference in the world.

This project is also aligned with the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge which envisions a more engaged and inclusive democracy. Through institutional engagement, direct student engagement, and fostering a national higher education network, ALL IN strives for an electorate that mirrors our country’s makeup and in which college students are democratically engaged on an ongoing basis, during and between elections, and not just at the polls.
