Enroll in CPSY 200 - Fundamentals of Counseling! This course is perfect for students thinking about a career in counseling or a career requiring interpersonal contact and collaboration. The course will give students a glimpse into counseling as a profession by providing an overview of basic counseling theories and exposing students to counseling-related research. Students will also gain insight into their own cultural identities and how various systems of oppression, privilege and power intersect to inform their own and others’ experiences. This course also serves as the gateway course to the new undergraduate minor in Counseling in the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Counseling.
