Open Enrollment for the 2026 calendar year will begin on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, and will run through Thursday, November 6, 2025.  Log in to Workday through myballstate.bsu.edu/dashboard. Workday is located under the Human Resources Tools. 

Links to the Open Enrollment Information will be emailed to active employees soon.  

Enrollment is required for the following benefits for 2026:

  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Voluntary Short-Term Disability (New Plan for 2026)
  • Critical Illness (New Plan for 2026)
  • Certify your tobacco-free status for the tobacco-free premium discount for 2026
  • Verify your spouse’s eligibility to be covered on our plan if your spouse had an employment change in 2025.

You are encouraged to review your benefit elections, dependents, and beneficiaries to ensure your benefits have mapped correctly from The Hartford to Voya Financial.  With the exception of those plans listed above, if no other changes are made during Open Enrollment, your other 2025 insurance elections will continue in 2026.  You must complete the enrollment process by Thursday, November 6, 2025.

For your convenience, below is the event schedule for the first week of Open Enrollment:

Wednesday, October 22
An Open Enrollment Video Presentation will be made available on our website.

Thursday, October 23 | 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
An in-person Open Enrollment presentation will be held in the Student Center, Cardinal Hall C.  

Friday, October 24 | 1 – 2 p.m.
A reserved computer lab in Bracken Library, Room BL008, will be available for employees to receive assistance with benefits enrollment.

Monday, October 27 | 3 – 5 p.m.
A meet and greet with Benefits Staff, located in the Services and Stores (SV) Building. (Questions and assistance.)

Tuesday, October 28 | 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
A Zoom Open Enrollment Presentation will be held.  

Wednesday, October 29 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.


The Cardinal Day of Well-being will be held in the Student Center Ball Room.  Vendors will be on-site. Well-being presentations will be conducted throughout the day.
