Special Call for Scholarship Proposals!
Spring 2022 Immersive Learning Summer Scholarship Incentive Grant

DEADLINE: Monday, May 9, 2022; at 5:00 PM.

Get a summer grant to work on your immersive learning scholarship!

The Offices of the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs and Immersive Learning are pleased to announce a new summer incentive program that supports faculty scholarship related to past or present immersive learning projects. To be considered for this grant, a faculty member must submit a proposal outlining a solid conceptual framework or theory that will help them pursue future presentations or publications highlighting the results of an immersive learning project.

This work can include, but is not limited to, the exploration or development of topics found in community-engaged journals, disciplinary theories or models, collaboration techniques, survey tools or research methods, scholarship of teaching and learning paradigms, or creative activities that generate new artifacts or resources for public and private sectors. (See GUIDELINES for an expanded list of scholarly approaches.)

Program participants will be awarded $2,000 to work on their scholarship during Summer Sessions 1 and 2. Fifty percent of the stipend will be paid upfront and the remaining 50% upon submission of the project to a journal or conference. Money can be received as a cash payment to use how you wish or as a tax-free contribution to an RIA account to be used according to the RIA guidelines.
