Please come and talk with me about Immersive Learning! I am happy to chat with you about Immersive Learning and any ideas you may have for a project. We can brainstorm and talk about connecting ideas, people, and other resources.
The Office of Immersive Learning provides services that support Immersive Learning projects:
- Team building activities for student teams
- Class presentations Including Examining Bias, Building Intentional Relationships, Empowering Not Rescuing, and more
- IL travel awards with a rolling application deadline (until funds are exhausted)
- Building Better Neighborhood (BBN) awards
- Fall and Spring Immersive Learning Provost Grant call for proposals
Immersive learning projects are high-impact learning experiences (BSU High Impact Practices - HIPs) that involve collaborative student-driven teams, guided by faculty mentors. Students earn credit for working with community partners such as businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to address community challenges by creating a product that has a lasting impact.
