Call for Immersive Learning Faculty Award Nominations

Nomination Deadline: February 25, 2022

It is time to submit nominations for the 2022 Immersive Learning Faculty Awards! The purpose of these awards is to recognize faculty for demonstrating excellence in the creation, mentoring, and execution of immersive learning projects. At least four faculty awards will be presented at the end of the spring 2022 semester. Award recipients will receive $1,000 in cash or deposited into a tax-free Research Incentive Account.

All immersive learning projects that occurred or were started during January 1, 2020 – July 30, 2021 are eligible for nomination. Projects that fit within existing departmental curriculum (with or without grant funding) are encouraged to apply. Previous Immersive Learning Award-winners are not eligible for the 2022 Awards. Projects nominated for previous awards that meet the above timeline are welcome to be re-nominated.

Nominations may be made by students, faculty, staff, or administrators. Self-nominations by project mentors are strongly encouraged! Nominations must be supported by the chair of the department to which the faculty mentor(s) report.

For more information, past winners, and to nominate, visit the landing page on the Office of Immersive Learning website.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm on February 25, 2022.

If you have questions about this process, please contact Suzanne Plesha, Director of Immersive Learning.
