Are you a faculty, staff, or administrator interested in mentoring? Do you have time to meet with a Ball State student once a month to support their academic, professional, and potential graduate education goals?
Then, consider joining the Pathways Mentoring Program and get matched with an undergraduate or graduate student in your field in preparation for the program kick-off in October.
Pathways is a mentoring program housed in the Graduate School that matches undergraduate and graduate students from marginalized backgrounds (e.g., domestic Students of Color, LGBTQIA2S+ students, students with disabilities, low-income students, student veterans, students with dependents, etc.) with faculty, staff, community professionals, and distinguished alumni associated with Ball State University.
Through Pathways, graduate and undergraduate students get access to the following:
- $250 worth of funding (Academic College Pod Leaders receive $350)
- Support to apply to graduate school
- Professional development workshops through the Graduate Opportunity & Leadership Development (GOLD) Program
- A community of scholars
Through Pathways, mentors get access to the following:
- A University Dining Card to use for treating students to coffee, tea, or meals during meetings
- A network of faculty, staff, and administrators who value and invest time in mentoring students
- Information about funding professional development opportunities to support graduate education and inclusive excellence initiatives
- A Pathways sweater, water bottle, and notebook
