How the Impact of Social Factors Determine the Economic Equity and Inclusion of College Graduates with Physical Disabilities

September 26, 2022

Join us on Monday October 3rd from 3:00-5:00 pm in North Quad 292 for this presentation.

Greg Fehribach, Distinguished Fellow in the Office of Inclusive Excellence, Larry Markle, Director of the Gregory S. Fehribach Center, and Luke Labas, Inclusion Institute Director at the League in Fort Wayne, will lead a discussion on the social and economic determinants that limit college graduates with physical disabilities from full participation in the American economy. The presenters will identify four models of disability, describe the laws that were designed to provide access and opportunity, and discuss the barriers that keep people with disabilities from attaining economic independence. They will close by highlighting the work of the Gregory S. Fehribach Center and with Fehribach providing an update on initiatives from the United States Access Board, of which he is a member.
