The Hispanic, POrtuguese, Latin American Affinity Group (HOLA) invites you to our Fall 2023 event on Tuesday, October 24th, in the Yuhas room of the Rinker Center, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. We will have an exciting program, including opening remarks by Anan Marri, our Interim Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, and a special presentation on Latin American history by our guest speaker, Dr. Robert Niebuhr, an Associate Professor of Teaching at Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College. Dr. Niebuhr is the author of works on modern Europe as well as Latin American military and political history. Two recent books include _The Search for a Cold War Legitimacy. Foreign Policy and Tito's Yugoslavia_ (2018), and _¡Vamos a avanzar!: The Chaco War and Bolivia's Political Transformation, 1899–1952_ (2021).
