Hair & Makeup Meets the David Owsley Museum of Art
Join us on April 23 from 4–6 p.m. outside the Recital Hall (AR 217) for a creative showcase led by faculty member Robert Dirden. This collaborative project brings together Hair and Makeup students from the Design & Technology area in the Department of Theatre and Dance and the David Owsley Museum of Art in a celebration of visual storytelling.
Students selected artworks from the museum’s collection and used their skills in makeup design to transform live models into reimagined versions of these masterpieces. The final looks will be captured in striking photographs that echo the spirit of the original works while adding a theatrical twist.
Come view the finished portraits, meet the artists behind the transformations, and experience this unique fusion of fine art and theatrical design at this one-night only pop-up event. All are welcome!
