We are grateful to Ball State for providing employees with Days of Beneficence during the semester break from December 23, 2025, through January 2, 2026. During this break, Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) staff will not be available to answer questions or review proposals or workflows.
External proposal submissions and SPA-assisted reports and workflows for active projects with deadlines between Monday, December 22, 2025, and Thursday, January 8, 2026, should provide requests and final materials to their SPA Proposal Manager and/or Grant Manager no later than 8 a.m. Wednesday, December 17.
For proposals in development: To ensure the timely and successful submission of proposals, we strongly encourage investigators to communicate any upcoming deadlines from December through January with their SPA Proposal Manager.
For active awards: Expense processing and agreements require multiple reviews and approvals, often involving a university signatory. SPA is just one of the approvers in the university's workflow. For active awards, investigators should communicate their needs to their SPA Grant Manager and start these processes as early as possible.
