Global Entrepreneurship Week Activities set for November 13-17

Join the Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute as we host a series of events during Global Entrepreneurship Week. All events are free and open to the public. All sessions will be held in our space in the Oakwood Building unless otherwise indicated.

Monday, November 13; 2:45-4:00 PM.: Creating a Sales Pitch That Rocks with Jennifer Wiese 

Held at the Innovation Connector, 1208 W White River Blvd, Muncie, IN 47303

As an entrepreneur, you must work a little bit harder to reach your audience. Having a well-practiced and thought-out sales pitch would be very helpful. In this workshop, you will learn what a sales pitch is, and why you need it.

Monday, November 13; 6-7:30 PM: How to Start a Business While Having a Full-Time Job – the Art of the Side-Hustle

Join us for an exciting in-person event where we will dive into the world of side-hustles! Discover the secrets of starting a successful business while juggling a full-time job.

November 14; 4:30-6:30 PM: Discovering and Leveraging your Entrepreneurial Style with Dr. Rob Mathews

This workshop will explore the Entrepreneurial Leadership Instrument (ELI). During the session participants will further explore and discuss their style preferences. This tool can help entrepreneurs understand their tendencies and better navigate relationships with others who approach entrepreneurial endeavors differently than them.

November 15, 8:30 am-1:30 pm: I-Day for High School Students

L.A. Pittenger Student Center

Students will rotate through sessions centered around innovation, problem-solving, creativity and challenges requiring teamwork, collaboration and communication.

Keynote Address: It's about what is (and isn't) driving social inequality and how politicians and policy makers can avoid making matters worse.

November 16;  2-4 PM:  Conversational Intelligence and Personal Productivity with Dr. Mike Goldsby 

Everyone is trying to figure out how to get more done in todays hectic world. In this talk, Dr. Goldsby shares how to do that by improving your relationships with others through how you talk to them, and by being more productive and focused on how you manage your time and energy.
