Friday Night Cardboard Returns to Bracken Library This Friday!

October 12, 2021

Friday Night Cardboard returns to Bracken Library this Friday, October 15, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Join Ball State University Libraries in Bracken Library's Schwartz Digital Complex for this popular series of tabletop gaming nights.

Can you name a teenage psychic, a grumpy golfer, or a dangerous photographer? Then you might be an ace at Buffalo, this month’s featured game for two to eight players. Cards from two decks will be placed face up on the table--one deck for adjectives and one for nouns. Players claim cards by naming real people or fictional characters who match the descriptors on at least two cards in play. The player with the most cards when the decks are exhausted is the winner.

The University Libraries host Friday Night Cardboard on the third Friday of every month when Fall and Spring classes are in session. Board, card, and word games from Education, Music and Media's collection will be available to play, including modern board games like Dominion, Catan, and Ticket to Ride, and family classics like Uno, Scrabble, and Monopoly. Participants are welcome to bring a game of their own to share.

Advance registration is not required. Just show up, and bring your friends!
