What makes a candidate stand out for an internship or full-time job? What do recruiters notice on a resume? How much does an interview really matter? And what are employers actually looking for from students entering the workforce?
Get answers directly from the people who make and influence hiring decisions at HR Connect, hosted by the Kent C. "Oz" Nelson Logistics and Supply Chain Management Center for Excellence.
On Wednesday, September 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Student Center Room 310, students will have the opportunity to meet recruiters, HR professionals, talent-acquisition specialists, and hiring managers during a moderated networking experience built around student career questions.
You do not need to be a Logistics & Supply Chain Management major to attend. HR Connect is open to students from all majors. The companies coming in will all be in the Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain industries, but those companies hire individuals from many disciplines!
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Learn what employers look for in strong internship and job candidates
- Ask questions about hiring, workplace culture, career readiness, and current hiring trends
- Build connections with professionals who recruit emerging talent and future employees
The event is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required.
