Elie Wiesel devoted his life to bearing witness to the Holocaust and confronting injustice and indifference.
Drawing on Wiesel's own words, archival materials, interviews, and hand-painted animation, the documentary offers an intimate portrait of his life, from his experiences during the Holocaust to his decades of teaching, writing, and advocating for human dignity.
Following the screening, director Oren Rudavsky will join the audience in person to discuss the making of the documentary, Wiesel's legacy, and the questions his life and work continue to raise.
Presented as part of the Reel Stories series, the event is free and open to Ball State students, faculty, staff, and the broader community.
