MUNCIE, Indiana -- Millions of Americans care for a family member or friend who is
experiencing health concerns. Caregiving can begin unexpectedly and many find themselves
feeling overwhelmed. The Muncie Support & Empowerment's Caregivers Forum will
provide information, resources, and guidance for those on this journey on Sunday, April 19,
2026, from 1 to 4 PM at Ball State University’s Student Center.
Professionals will provide an overview of important topics including insurance, medical,
financial & legal concerns. Caregiver mental and physical health support, and self-care, will also
be covered. Speakers at the forum will be available to help connect attendees with resources to
help themselves and their care recipients.
Come to The Caregivers Forum in the Ball State Student Center rooms 301 & 302 on Sunday,
April 19. The event is free and open to adults 18+. Free parking is available and snacks will be
provided. For more information and to reserve free tickets for the Caregivers Forum, please visit

Muncie Support & Empowerment Groups are free, open meetings designed for adults (18+). They offer an opportunity for
individuals to come together, share their lived experiences, learn from one another, gather resources, and provide a sense of
community. Facilitated by psychology students from Ball State University as an immersive learning experience, the groups are
supervised by a faculty member and run in collaboration with LifeStream Services, Gender Nexus, and Still Waters Professional
Counseling.
