Former Egypt Diplomat Teaching BSU Peace Studies

December 02, 2025

The Introduction to Peace Studies course (PSCR 201) will be taught in the Spring by Mr. Ahmed Nabil Sadek Ahmed. Mr. Ahmed is a former political officer at the United Nations Bureau, Egypt Embassy in Washington, D.C., and Egypt Embassy in Tripoli, Libya, and former desk officer of the Saudi, Qatari, and Bahraini affairs at the Gulf Affairs Bureau.

Mr. Ahmed has performed years of research on civil wars in the Middle East and the impact of religion and military technology on international relations. His involvement as a researcher and facilitator of peacebuilding in the Middle East and Africa equips him to bring unique perspectives to the PSCR 201 class. This is a great opportunity to learn from someone who has extensive experience in peacebuilding.
