Fly Well: May is Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health. Whether you’re thriving, feeling overwhelmed, or somewhere in between, support is available.

Small, consistent actions can make a meaningful difference in protecting your wellbeing and building resilience:

  • Talk about how you’re feeling with someone you trust
  • Check in on others—a simple “How are you really doing?” can help break isolation
  • Prioritize quality sleep (7–9 hours per night)
  • Practice mindfulness, deep breathing, or gentle movement, even for a few minutes
  • Set clear work-life boundaries where possible
  • Reach out for support early—using available resources is a sign of strength
