Summer celebrations often include fireworks. A little preparation can help you enjoy them safely with family and friends.
- Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby when using fireworks
- Light fireworks one at a time and move away quickly after lighting
- Never attempt to relight a malfunctioning firework
- Keep children and spectators at a safe distance
- Being mindful of the wind and your surroundings when lighting fireworks
- Dispose of used fireworks by soaking them in water before placing them in the trash
