The 4th annual Star Party will take place on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 6-8 PM outside on the patio of the North West Residence Hall.

This event is sponsored by the Humanities Compass Advantage, the College of Sciences and Humanities, the departments of Anthropology, English, History, Modern Languages & Classics, and Philosophy & Religious Studies, the Humanities LLC, and Residence Life.

Star Party is for:

  • students living in the brand new Humanities LLC in North West residence hall

  • undecided students

  • freshmen and sophomore humanities majors who want to get more involved in their major or minor

  • introverts who dread activity fairs because you have to walk right up to people and chat with them

  • esp. students who are unapologetically interested in social responsibility, feminism, and big ideas, who are into making art, speaking other languages, understanding history, and making a difference in the 21st century

  • people who like free pizza

Who will be there?

Thirty five clubs, organizations, cool classes, resources, and other opportunities, such as

  • Book Arts Collaborative

We hope that having this event outdoors will mitigate the risks of Covid-19. We recommend that all those attending practice social distancing and follow university masking protocols for outdoor events.

In case of inclement weather, this event will take place in the North West Residence Hall multi-purpose room, in which case masks will be required. If you have questions, contact Prof. Cathy Day, Director of the Humanities Compass Advantage at cday@bsu.edu.
