Now is a great time to start thinking about a Fall study abroad experience! Applications are officially open for all Fall semester study abroad programs. Most application deadlines are March 15, so students are encouraged to explore options and apply early.
Ball State offers nearly 90 fall semester study abroad options, including more than 10 international exchange partners and more than 35 programs that are cost-comparable to an on-campus semester in Muncie — meaning studying abroad can be more accessible than many students expect. Featured Fall Semester Program: BSU-in-Thessaloniki
BSU-in is Ball State’s signature study abroad program — BSU students, BSU faculty, BSU classes — for a full Ball State semester abroad. Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in Greece, serves as the home base for the BSU-in-Thessaloniki program. Through Ball State’s partnership with Perrotis College, students study on a gorgeous campus located on the edge of the city and close to the Aegean Sea.
Students live in dormitories overlooking the vineyards and olive orchards of the American Farm School, offering a unique residential experience that blends a peaceful, nature-oriented setting with easy access to Thessaloniki’s vibrant cultural and social life.
Courses are taught in English and often fulfill UCC (core) requirements, making this program a great fit for students across many majors. Like all BSU-in programs, BSU-in-Thessaloniki is not a high-cost option — the overall cost is comparable to an on-campus semester in Muncie.
