Self-Care For Your Mind Series is back for Fall!

Join on Thursdays at 12pm to learn about the power of gratitude, optimism, navigating self-doubt and more!! Sessions are offered by Engagement, Wellbeing and Culture (Working Well) in collaboration with the Ball State Counseling Practicum Clinic in the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Counseling. 

Sessions will be held via Zoom and last 45 minutes: Register Here

  • October 3rd - Nutrition and Mental Health
    • Explore the relationship between nutrition and mental health. Discuss strategies to improve nutrition.
  • October 10th - Identifying Values and Living a Values-Aligned Life
    • Explore personal values and how to lead a more authentic and fulfilling life by living in alignment with those values.
  • October 17th - Healthy Relationships
    • Identify different types of relationships and the qualities that make them healthy. Gain awareness of unhealthy relationship characteristics. 
  • October 24th - Making and Maintaining Friendships as an Adult
    • Highlight nuances in establishing friendships as an adult and discuss helpful ways to both make and maintain these types of relationships throughout adulthood.
  • October 31st - Supporting Others’ Mental Health
    • Learn about ways to support the mental health of those close to you and identify strategies to maintain own mental health during these times.
  • November 7th - Effects of Stress on Body and How to Manage Stress
    • Understand the influences of stress on the body and explore stress-management techniques.
  • November 14th - Self-Compassion and Burnout
    • Learn about what burnout is and it's impacts on wellness. Understand self-compassion and how it can help alleviate burnout effects. 
  • November 21st - Practicing Gratitude
    • Discuss the importance of practicing gratitude and strategies for practicing it.
  • December 5th - Goal Setting
    • Identify both unhelpful and helpful goal setting behaviors.
