A new set of policies, a new grading scale, a new instructor, a new classroom environment, and new classmates—starting a new course can be difficult for learners. But our Canvas Course Template and its welcome module are here to help set you and your learners up for success from day one.

Designed with busy faculty in mind, our lightning workshop series takes no longer than 30 minutes per session and focuses on breaking down the Canvas Course Template so you can hit the ground running to prepare for next semester.

In our second workshop in this series, we’ll zero in on the Welcome Module, taking a brief but in-depth look at what it is, what it contains, and why it matters for your learners.

The session is set for 12:30-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23. Register now.

Specifically, after this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify key Welcome Module components
  • Discuss some of the pedagogical value of a Welcome Module
  • Generate ideas for how you might modify or customize the module to suit your unique needs

Did you miss the last workshop in the series? Not sure that you’ll have time to attend? That’s okay! Each workshop is self-contained and recorded so that you can watch and re-watch them at your convenience.
