Canvas assignment pages and discussion boards have a lot of features, which can make the process of creating a simple assignment feel overwhelming. If this is a familiar feeling, join us for this short and simple lightning workshop focused on breaking down Canvas assignment pages and discussion boards.

Our lightning workshop series is designed with busy faculty in mind. Each session lasts no longer than 30 minutes per session and focuses on getting you the basics so you can hit the ground running to prepare for the next semester.

In our final workshop in the series, we’ll focus on assignments and discussion boards in Canvas, covering both the basics and how you might customize and use them.

The session is set for 12:30-1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. Register now.

Specifically, after this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify key features of the assignment page and discussion board templates and discuss their pedagogical value
  • Consider ways to modify or customize the assignment page and discussion board templates to suit your needs

Did you miss the last workshop in the series? Not sure that you’ll have time to attend? That’s okay! Each workshop is self-contained and recorded so that you can watch and re-watch them at your convenience.

This session is brought to you by the Teaching Innovation Team, part of the Division of Online and Strategic Learning.
