The Rinker Center for Global Affairs is offering a self-paced, eight-week online mini-course for faculty members interested in learning more about incorporating Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) into their courses. This training covers COIL fundamentals, including developing a collaboration plan, finding an international partner, and integrating intercultural learning into your course as well as how your course may be designated as a High Impact Practice (Diverse Perspectives). The mini-course is offered on a semester basis with cohorts in Fall, Spring, and Summer.

This opportunity is open to all full-time Ball State instructors (tenure-line or non-tenure line). Faculty who complete all modules, assignments, and discussion boards during the course will receive $250 RIA. To apply, fill out this form and indicate the semester you'd like to join. Cohorts max out at 10 participants, so please select all semesters you'll be available.

Faculty who complete the mini-course also have the opportunity to (1) complete an approved COIL course AND (2) submit a post-COIL project report to Dr. Alicia Miller for an additional $250 RIA.

If you have questions or wish to see a preview of the mini-course, please contact Dr. Alicia Miller, Director of Global Initiatives and Operations.

Don't need the mini-course because you already have an understanding of COIL? You can still (1) complete an approved COIL course AND (2) submit a post-COIL project report to Dr. Alicia Miller for a $250 RIA.
