Coming up at the David Owsley Museum of Art:

Thursday, February 20, 5:00 p.m.: Join us for an opening night reception for People and Places 1873-2000: A Selection of Photographs from DOMA's Collection. This special exhibition (which will remain on view through May 23, 2025) features images from the history of photography chosen by guest curator Ronn Brown. 

Thursday, February 20, 4:00 p.m.: Before the reception, guest curator Ronn Brown and DOMA director Robert La France will give a tour of the Spring exhibition for faculty and educators interested in exploring ways to incorporate the show into classes.

Friday, February 21, noon: Enjoy a midday break with meditation led by Dr. George Wolfe and experience mindfulness in the galleries. 

Saturday, February 22, 2:30 p.m.: Join DOMA Gallery Guide Drew Lipscomb for a Saturday Spotlight Tour and discuss how works of art are used by various cultures to honor the dead. 

Wednesday, February 26, 10:00 a.m.: Kids in grades 4 through 8 are invited to a 90-minute workshop led by student teachers in the Art Education program. This event is for kids only, so guardians should plan to drop off children between 9:50 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and pick them up at 11:30 a.m.. Pre-registration is required.

Friday, February 28, 4:00 p.m.: A public drop-in tour of The Art of Elizabeth Catlett from the Collection of Samella Lewis will close this special exhibition on its final day at DOMA. The show features a selection of prints, sculptures, and paintings by one of the most important artists of the 20th century. 

Please note: DOMA will be closed to the public March 1 through 8 for Spring Break; the administrative office will be staffed March 3 through 7.
