New Class: Meditation, Mindfulness, & Health (CPSY 390; 3 credits)
MWF 9-9:50, CRN 43467
Instructor: Mengqing Shang, M.A.
This class offers an academic and experiential introduction to mindfulness and meditation. Students will learn the principles of practice, develop their own mediation practice, and apply these principles to daily life. They also will learn strategies to skillfully work with thoughts, emotions, and sensations, while enhancing their capacity to experience mind-body awareness in the present-moment.
The class is open to all undergraduate students regardless of their major. The course does count, however, toward the Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution Minor.
