This course examines various theories and strategies of conflict prevention and resolution and mediation. The course will help students to develop basic personal and professional skills in understanding, preventing, and reconciling conflicts that can occur with different individuals and in diverse contexts. The role and importance of emotions, active listening, finding common ground, empathy, respect, and problem-solving in preventing and resolving disputes will be emphasized. Along with acquiring knowledge, students will practice employing conflict prevention and resolution skills.
