The Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning (ECAP) is proud to expand its presence into downtown Muncie with a vibrant new space on the first floor of the historic Columbia Theater Building at 306 S. Walnut Street. The nearly 5,000-square-foot hub is designed for immersive student learning, community collaboration, and innovative design work—bringing campus energy directly into the city’s heart.

The grand opening will feature remarks from Ball State President Geoffrey S. Mearns, Dr. Anand R. Marri, Ball State’s provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, and ECAP Dean David Ferguson, along with a student representative. The speaking program will begin at 5:15 p.m., and light refreshments will be provided inside the venue.

Attendees are invited to explore student work, hands-on displays, and interactive exhibits throughout the space—offering a first-hand look at how the college is embedding immersive learning opportunities in the heart of Muncie.
