DOMA Gallery Guide Program: Informational Meeting on August 27

August 11, 2025

The David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) is looking for new gallery guides to join our team! A guide is a volunteer trained to facilitate learning in the museum through a variety of activities and techniques. As a guide, one has the potential to initiate lifelong interest and appreciation for the arts, humanities, and sciences by providing interactive and engaging tours to our museum audience.

Volunteer guides meet most Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. at DOMA. No art experience is required, however an interest in art and a willingness to learn and interact with museum visitors are important.

All are welcome to apply, including community members and Ball State students. Student gallery guides must have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or above.

To learn more, attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, August 27 at 3:30 p.m. in DOMA’s Contemporary Craft Gallery on the third floor of the Fine Arts Building (2021 W. Riverside Avenue).

Learn more from community member and student guides through this video about their experiences. Additional videos about the museum and DOMA docents are available here.

Contact Catherine Bretz, DOMA’s education coordinator, with questions.
