Docent Program: Informational Meeting at DOMA

January 10, 2022

The David Owsley Museum of Art is looking for new docents to join our team. A docent is a volunteer trained to facilitate learning in the museum through a variety of activities and techniques. As a docent, one has the potential to initiate lifelong interest and appreciation for the arts, humanities, and sciences by providing interactive and engaging tours to our museum audience.

Volunteer docents meet every Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at DOMA. No art experience is required, however an interest in art and a willingness to learn and interact with museum visitors are important.

All are welcome to apply, including community members and Ball State students. Student docents must have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or above.

To learn more, attend an informational meeting on Thursday, January 13 at 3:30 p.m. at DOMA in AR 223.

Learn more from community member and student docents through this video about their experiences. Additional videos about the museum and DOMA docents are available here.
