With the 2024 election approaching, it's important to make a plan to vote.
If you are an Indiana resident and plan to vote by mail, the deadline to submit your Application for Absentee Ballot is October 24, 2024, by 11:59 PM. Be sure to find your county’s specific mailing address on page 2 of the absentee ballot form.
Early voting in Indiana is already open and will remain available until November 4th, 2024. Election Day follows on November 5th, 2024.
If you're a resident of Indiana, it's important to check your voter registration status and polling location. You can find this information at the Indiana Voter Portal by clicking "Find Your Polling Place." Enter your information, then click "Continue" to see where and when you can vote early, as well as your polling place for Election Day.
Indiana requires voters to present a government-issued photo ID at the polls. Accepted forms include an Indiana driver’s license, photo ID card, military ID, or U.S. Passport. Ball State students may also use their student IDs if they meet the state's photo identification criteria.
If you're outside Indiana, be sure to visit Vote.gov to learn your state's specific voter information regarding registration, early voting, and ID requirements.
Cardinals Vote!, led by the Center for Economic and Civic Learning and the Office of Student Life, provides non-partisan voting information for students and our community.
