Course in Effective Teaching Practices – call for faculty applications

November 20, 2020
Offered free of charge to selected Ball State faculty, the Division of Online and Strategic Learning is partnering for a second year with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) to offer their Course in Effective Teaching Practices.

The ACUE Course in Effective Teaching Practices is the first course designed for higher education faculty that leads to a nationally-recognized Certificate in Effective College Instruction endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE). This is not only an excellent opportunity for faculty to gain valuable skills and recognition for their commitment to quality instruction, but is also an opportunity for you to significantly impact the quality of instruction and success of your students over time.

Launching January 12, 2021, the course will run through spring and fall semesters of 2021 and include self-paced online modules as well as a number of face-to-face (Zoom) meetings facilitated by the Division of Online and Strategic Learning. Participants in this cohort will be selected based on an application process.

Faculty members holding tenure, tenure track, or academic year contract appointments in any academic unit are encouraged to apply. The application is available HERE. The deadline for submission of applications is TUESDAY, JANUARY 5, 2021. Selection notifications will be made no later than January 8, 2021.
