Course Evaluation Module available in Canvas

Encourage your students to complete the end-of-semester course evaluation by adding a Course Evaluation Module to your course Canvas site. The module page includes a link to complete the evaluation as well as suggestions for providing constructive feedback to help frame the student role in course evaluations.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to bsu.instructure.com (Canvas) and select Commons in the left global navigation menu.
  2. Once in Canvas’ Commons, locate/select Course Evaluations Module.
  3. Click on Import/Download button.
  4. Select the course/s you wish to use the module and click on Import into Course found at the bottom of the list.
  5. Once the module appears in your course (it will be at the bottom of your modules), open the Complete a Course Evaluation page. There are two highlighted elements that you will edit—one is the closing date (Monday, April 27, 2026 for this semester) and the other is optional if you would like to share why the evaluations are important to you.
  6. Either move the module to the location you prefer and publish (you will need to publish the module for the ‘Complete a Course Evaluation’ page to be available to your students) or move the page into a current module in your site (again, remember to select ‘publish’).
  7. If you would like to add the ‘Complete a Course Evaluation’ to your students’ To Do List (but not in the Gradebook), instructions are HERE.
